Rene Wouda opened Kashmir Lounge on December 6th, 1997, initially as a DJ Cafe/Coffeeshop to cater to the need for a relaxed hangout in Old West Amsterdam. It quickly became a popular spot for chilling with friends while enjoying great music.
Awarded #1 DJ Cafe in Amsterdam in 2012 by djmag.com, Kashmir Lounge hosts different DJs every night, offering an eclectic music mix. It has also served as a filming location for movies and music videos, earning recognition from locals and international visitors alike. Today, Kashmir Coffee Shop is located just across the street from Kashmir Lounge Dj Café.
Visitors aged 18 and above are welcome to enjoy the laid-back atmosphere.
