Originally established in 1982 at Oudebrugsteeg 4 in Amsterdam's Red Light District, Coffeeshop Speakeasy was forced to close its doors in 2013 due to redevelopment initiatives by the Amsterdam government. However, after undergoing extensive renovations, Speakeasy reopened its doors at Eerste Oosterparkstraat 47 in Amsterdam East. Despite the relocation, Speakeasy continues to offer excellent value for money, attracting both locals and tourists alike.
With a diverse clientele, the atmosphere remains welcoming and respectful, reminiscent of its predecessor, with many original staff members making the transition to the new location.
